Why do my plants look different than the photos on the website?

Because of the natural cycle of native perennials, there can be a significant difference in appearance between a spring shipment and a fall shipment of plants. Depending on the time of year that they are shipped, plants can range from being fully leafed out and blooming, to showing some browning or yellowing leaves/foliage, minimal leaves on the stem or even being completely dormant with no growth showing .  In a fall shipment, the plants are approaching a dormant phase. Plants entering dormancy are still alive with viable root systems, and ready to spring to life when their time arrives.  If you have concerns about the plants that you have purchased from us, please reach out to our customer care team at orders@gardenforwildlife.com. Including a photo of the plants with your email can help us determine if the plants are showing normal seasonal variation or if there is an issue with the health of your plants.
