FAQs

How do we earn native plants for our organization?

Once you register through our website, your organization will be given a unique sales URL to share with family, friends and other supporters. You can share on social media, through email, SMS, or other outreach methods (e.g., newsletters). Once your supporters click your link and opt-in to your fundraiser, they will be prompted to shop at gardenforwildlife.com for native plants. When they purchase through your referral link, their sales will be tracked to your organization. You donโ€™t have to do anything but share your link! Easy!

*Remember, you can share your code with family and friends in 38 US states so they can help raise money and plants for your organization while building a thriving local ecosystem in their local area for bees, birds, and butterflies!

What if we donโ€™t need plants?

If you donโ€™t need plants, you can choose Option 2: Seeds of Success (15% of sales/no plants) for that yearโ€™s campaign.

Good news! You can decide every year how you want to support your community - with cash and plants OR just cash.

How do we get paid?

Garden for Wildlife pays out earnings on a quarterly basis by check. Please ensure your mailing address is up to date for your organization each year. If you earn less than $100 in a quarter, the amount earned will be rolled over to the following quarter for payment.

  • Jan-Mar earnings paid by 4/30
  • Apr-Jun earnings paid by 7/31
  • Jul-Sept earning paid before 10/31
  • Oct-Dec earnings paid before 1/31
What if the plants arrive damaged or someone has questions about the product?

Native plants are amazingly resilient. Depending on the season,  you might receive a plant that looks dead or damaged, usually itโ€™s just waiting for some new soil, sunshine, and water so it can thrive. Patience is key!  However, Garden for Wildlife guarantees the plants it sells for up to one year. If your customers have questions, have them reach out directly to Garden for Wildlife customer service at info@gardenforwildlife.com or visit the website at https://gardenforwildlife.com/pages/help.

What happens if someone orders plants in the winter?

Live plant delivery takes place during certain periods of the year โ€“ generally April through October. However, this is dependent on geographic areas. The Garden for Wildlife website will indicate approximate shipping dates when orders are placed in the โ€œoff season.โ€  However, gift cards are sold year round and make great holiday, birthday, and appreciation gifts!

We desperately need plants for a beautification project, but we didnโ€™t meet our sales goals to earn free plants. Can you help us?

Keep in mind that each campaign can last up to one year. You should expect some natural ebb and flow based on planting seasons. Anticipating periods of high interest (Spring and early Fall) and getting reminder messages out to your supporters will go a long way to helping you meet your goals.

In addition, Garden for Wildlife will work with you to see how we can best meet your needs for beautification and pollinator gardens with either additional marketing support or community engagement ideas. Please contact fundraiser@gardenforwildlife.com.
