He is a father, husband, avid gardener, and loves nature - and it’s those last two things that led to his current role.  Shubber is a supporter of the National Wildlife Federation since 1994, and gardener for over 25 years. He loves to go hiking and interact with nature, but always thought nature was something that you went somewhere to experience. It wasn’t until he read Doug Tallamy’s book, [Nature’s Best Hope](https://gardenforwildlife.com/blogs/learning-center/what-were-reading-winter-2024), that the dots finally connected for him. He saw why native plants specifically were so important, and that’s when he started transforming his lawn into a [Certified Wildlife Habitat](https://content.gardenforwildlife.com/certified-wildlife-habitats). Shubber's decades of gardening allows him to share [first-hand experience](https://gardenforwildlife.com/blogs/learning-center/q-a-with-garden-for-wildlife-ceo-shubber-ali) of how to build habitat and boost your backyard biodiversity. *For all podcast, webinar, or guest expert requests, please email: info@gardenforwildlife.com*   The Nature-Backed Podcast April 15, 2024 LISTEN: [Growing Beyond Gardens: The Global Impact of Native Plants with Garden for Wildlife](https://naturebacked.com/episode/growing-beyond-gardens-the-global-impact-of-native-plants-with-garden-for-wildlife)   The Backyard Naturalists Podcast  April 6, 2024 LISTEN: [Restoring Nature's Balance: A Conversation with Shubber Ali](https://thebackyardnaturalists.libsyn.com/restoring-natures-balance-a-conversation-with-shubber-ali-ceo-of-garden-for-wildlife)   World Animal Protection Webinar April 11, 2024 WATCH: [World Animal Protection x Garden for Wildlife Webinar: Restoring Biodiversity](https://youtu.be/PzrJthHc12E?feature=shared)   Seeds & Weeds Podcast March 27, 2024 LISTEN: [Garden for Wildlife with Shubber Ali](https://seedsandweedspodcast.com/garden-for-wildlife-shubber-ali/?utm_content=287509574&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&hss_channel=tw-36697275)   The Butterfly Effect with Tali Orad March 13, 2024 LISTEN: [The Butterfly Story of Biodiversity & Our Home Gardens with Shubber Ali](https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/the-butterfly-effect/episodes/Episode-72--The-Butterfly-Story-of-Biodiversity-and-Our-Home-Gardens-Hosting-Shubber-Ali-e2g3qkm?utm_content=286097925&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&hss_channel=tw-36697275)   Business for Good Podcast with Paul Shapiro February 1, 2024 Listen: [When NonProfits Start Businesses: Garden for Wildlife and the National Wildlife Federation](https://www.businessforgoodpodcast.com/when-nonprofits-start-businesses-garden-for-wildlife-and-the-national-wildlife-federation)   Superpowers for Good Podcast January 23, 2024 Watch: [Your Yard Plays a Vital Role in Restoring a Healthy Wildlife Ecosystem and Fighting Climate Change](https://www.superpowers4good.com/p/your-yard-wildlife-ecoystem-climate-change)   Share: [facebook-f icon](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://content.gardenforwildlife.com/learn/podcasts-webinars-more-with-garden-for-wildlife) [linkedin-in icon](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://content.gardenforwildlife.com/learn/podcasts-webinars-more-with-garden-for-wildlife) [twitter icon](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://content.gardenforwildlife.com/learn/podcasts-webinars-more-with-garden-for-wildlife) [pinterest-p icon](http://pinterest.com/pin/create/link/?url=https://content.gardenforwildlife.com/learn/podcasts-webinars-more-with-garden-for-wildlife) [envelope icon](mailto:?body=https://content.gardenforwildlife.com/learn/podcasts-webinars-more-with-garden-for-wildlife) [Wildlife](https://content.gardenforwildlife.com/learn/tag/wildlife) [How to Create a Bird-Friendly Yard with Native Plants](https://content.gardenforwildlife.com/learn/how-to-create-a-bird-friendly-yard-with-native-plants) North America has lost 3 billion birds since 1970—nearly one-third of the entire population.
